Programme Overview

Business and related subjects such as finance, accounting, management and economics are among the most popular fields of study at universities. There is a high demand for business graduates worldwide. This programme has a strong emphasis on preparing students for the ever-changing and challenging job market. It covers business functions, key theories and issues related to leadership and management, business law and ethics and organisational analysis. You will learn how products and services are produced, marketed and sold, how people and resources are managed and the impact of the wider business environment.

The course has a strong emphasis on enhancing your employability skills through workshops, events, and individual and in groups coursework designed by our expert teaching staff. Students will be offered one-to-one support with gaining work experience through internships or placements. After the completion of this degree graduates can pursue a career in different areas studied within the programme. Careers with a business degree are not only diverse but most often highly paid.

ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Business and Management

Upon completion of the Year 1, you will receive ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Business and Management from LSB which will allow you to progress to the Year 2.

ATHE Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business and Management

Upon completion of the Year 2, you will receive ATHE Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business and Management from LSB which will allow you to progress to the Year 3 by number of universities which are arranged through ATHE.

 BSc (Hons) Business and Management

Upon completion of the Year 3, you will receive BSc (Hons) Business and Management. The degree would be awarded by number of universities which are arranged through ATHE.

Entry Requirements

Your ability to succeed and benefit from your course is the LSB’s first concern in setting its entry requirements.

We accept applications from individuals with a wide range of qualifications, including all post-16 qualifications in the UK, with full recognition given to relevant key skills, functional skills and vocational qualifications, including the new Advanced and Progression Diplomas.

112 – New UCAS points

We would normally expect you to have Grade 4 / C in GCSE English and Maths.

Must include passes at A2 in at least two subjects.

Extended Diploma or Diploma

Diploma with 25 points including a minimum of 15 points at Higher Level.

Access to HE Diploma (QAA approved) with 60 credits overall and 45 credits at Level 3

Level 2 equivalences such as Level 2 Functional Skills in English / Maths, Level 2 Key Skills in Communication / Application of Number and Level 2 Adult Literacy / Adult Numeracy

As an inclusive university we recognise that applicants who have been out of education for some time may not have the formal qualifications usually required for entry to a course. We welcome applications from those who can demonstrate their enthusiasm and commitment to study and have relevant life/work experience that equips them to succeed on the course. We will assess this from the information provided in your application (particularly your personal statement) and may ask you to attend an interview or submit a piece of work to help us decide on your eligibility for the course. Our pre-entry Information Advice and Guidance Team are able to provide further advice on entry requirements and suitability for study.

Overall IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing and Speaking; minimum 5.5 in Reading and Listening (or recognised equivalent).

If you do not meet the academic English language requirements for your course, you may be eligible to enrol onto a pre-sessional English programme. Your profile, goals, and overall fit for the program will be assessed with an in-person, a phone or a skype interview.  Your English proficiency will also be reviewed during the interview.

If you are accepted into the program and have decided to start your studies at LSB, you must confirm your place by the confirmation deadline.

Once you confirm your place with us, you will access support with your visa, housing, and pre-enrollment. To ensure you have enough time to secure your visa, we encourage you to apply as early as possible.

Fees & Funding

Tuition fees cover the cost of a student’s academic studies. This usually includes teaching costs, registration and examination fees (not repeat or tailing modules, re-sit fees or coursework resubmission). Any costs associated with work placements will be the students responsibility.

We offer funding support to suitable candidates through a range of scholarships. These can be applied for during application, or when an offer for a place has been made by us and accepted by you.

You do not need to submit an additional application, the scholarship assessment will be made using the online application and during your interview.

Scholarships of up to 70% are available for candidates under the Global Ambassador Scholarship scheme. The total value awarded will be determined by your academic and professional achievements, as well as your drive and commitment to become an ambassador for the MBA programme and London School of Business both during your time on the programme and throughout your professional career.
