Dr. Sarthak Sengupta

Dr. Sarthak Sengupta is an interdisciplinary academic and researcher whose work sits at the intersection of management, digital innovation, analytics, and healthcare systems. He currently serves as Assistant Professor at IIHMR Bangalore, following earlier academic and research roles at IIHMR University Jaipur, IIM Lucknow, and IIIT Allahabad. His background combines management, technology, and applied research, giving his teaching and scholarship a strongly contemporary and practice-oriented focus.
He holds a PhD in Management and an MBA in Information Technology with electives in Human Resource and Marketing Management from IIIT Allahabad, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering and a Diploma in Cyber Law. This blend of qualifications allows him to bring together business thinking, digital systems knowledge, and analytical depth in both teaching and research.
Dr. Sengupta’s teaching and research interests span a wide range of future-focused areas, including social media analytics, cybersecurity, marketing analytics, digital marketing, management information systems, HR analytics, organizational behavior, artificial intelligence, business analytics, healthcare analytics, digital health, and project management. His academic profile reflects a strong commitment to connecting emerging technologies with management education and real-world organisational challenges.
He has built an impressive research portfolio with extensive publications across journals, conferences, book chapters, case writing, patents, and applied scholarly outputs, alongside service as a reviewer and associate editor for respected journals and conferences. His work has also been recognised through multiple best paper awards, a Young Scientist Award, and research distinctions linked to innovation, analytics, and higher education.
