Dr. Hamza Kheddar is an accomplished academic, researcher, and educator with expertise spanning telecommunications, computer networking, cybersecurity, data science, and artificial intelligence. With a career that bridges higher education, applied engineering, and advanced research, he brings a strong combination of technical depth, teaching experience, and international academic engagement to his professional profile.

He currently serves as Associate Professor at the University of Medea, Algeria, where he has progressed through the roles of lecturer, assistant professor, and associate professor. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, he has held academic leadership roles including Chairman of the Doctoral Training Committee in Telecommunications and Chairman of the Bachelor Degree Committee in Telecommunications, reflecting his active contribution to curriculum development, academic standards, and research supervision.

Dr. Kheddar holds a PhD in Telecommunication, a Magister Diploma in Telecommunication, and a State Engineering degree in Telecommunication. He also earned the Habilitation Universitaire (HDR), which qualifies him to supervise research projects at advanced academic level. His teaching experience covers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate subjects, including computer networking, network security and cryptography, numerical analysis, telephony, mobile communication, C++ and Python object-oriented programming, and advanced numerical communication.

His research profile is particularly strong in areas such as AI-driven cybersecurity, intrusion detection systems, speech recognition, multimedia security, deep learning, communication networks, and intelligent systems. He has built a substantial international publication record, including papers in high-impact journals and conferences, and has supervised research across PhD, MSc, and undergraduate levels. Before moving fully into academia, Dr. Kheddar also gained industry experience as a Core Network Engineer with Huawei and as a SCADA Network Engineer with EFACEC, where he worked on network rollout, commissioning, troubleshooting, and telecommunications infrastructure.
