Dr. Byron Byrne-Taylor

PhD in Comparative Literature – UCL

Dr. Byron Byrne-Taylor is a scholar and educator whose work focuses on the movement of culture, language, and ideology across global systems. His academic background spans comparative literature, philosophy, translation, and international communication, giving his teaching and research a strongly interdisciplinary and international character.

He currently serves as a Lecturer at London School of Business, where he delivers an executive programme in International Business Communication for global professionals. His teaching focuses on strategic clarity, cross-cultural intelligence, and effective communication in complex international environments, helping learners develop precision, adaptability, and confidence across multicultural contexts.

Alongside his teaching, Dr. Byrne-Taylor is a Visiting Research Fellow at King’s College London, where he conducts advanced research in comparative literature, continental philosophy, and translation theory. His research explores the intersections of literary theory, political thought, and global intellectual exchange, and he contributes actively to scholarly dialogue through seminars, workshops, editorial work, and academic collaboration.

Before joining London School of Business, he taught at Shanghai International Studies University, where he delivered classes in English literature, the nineteenth-century novel, academic writing, advanced translation, and spoken English. His teaching practice is shaped by intellectual depth, cultural awareness, and a commitment to helping students engage critically with texts, ideas, and contemporary global challenges.

Dr. Byrne-Taylor has also served as Guest Editor for a special issue of the Journal of Comparative Literature and Aesthetics, reflecting his wider engagement in academic publishing and international scholarly exchange.

He holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from UCL and an MA in Philosophy and History from Central European University.
