Programme Summary

Our Health, Wellbeing and Community honours degree Programme is designed to enhance your employability in the health and social care sector, an area of growing opportunities.

Our course will equip you with the core knowledge, skills and capabilities for a future health related career, either nationally or globally.

The health and social care sector offers many career opportunities for graduates. Careers in health promotion, local government, independent health sector, community development work – or overseas health and development work. The course is ideal if you would like to access postgraduate pre-registration training in the health or social care profession. Alternatively if you wish to follow a career in public health, health promotion, or health administration.

You will learn core values and behaviors that underpin a caring and compassionate health provision and develop your knowledge of health sciences, health organisation and policy. The course includes opportunities to develop work based experience in order to enhance your employability.

Entry requirements

240 UCAS Tariff points at GCE A Level or equivalent or a qualification which Glyndŵr University deems of suitable standard for entry onto the programme.

International students must provide valid qualifications equivalent to the above requirements. English language proficiency, IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in each component or equivalent.

Fees & Funding

Tuition fees cover the cost of a student’s academic studies. This usually includes teaching costs, registration and examination fees (not repeat or tailing modules, re-sit fees or coursework resubmission). Any costs associated with work placements will be the students responsibility.
