Programme Summary

Tourism is the single largest industry in the world today. As per UNWTO statistics, international tourist arrivals stood at 940 million and foreign exchange earning was $ 923 billion in the year 2010. Tourism is termed as the master key of the world economy. It is the industry of the industries because tourism is the combination of 109 sectors. It produces 1 job in every 2 and half seconds.
More than 300 million persons are directly employed in the industry throughout the world. One out of every 8 persons is employed in this sector. This trend shall continue throughout the 21st century. Simultaneously tourism shall change quality of the life and life style of the people. The primary objective of the Bachelor Degree Program in Tourism & Hospitality Management is to produce skilled manpower and competent personnel well trained to meet the ever growing demand of the tourism sector. Since Tourism is a labour-intensive profitability sector both for private and public undertakings, there is high demand world-wide for professional degree in this sector.

Entry requirements

Applicants must satisfy our general entry requirements, as well as meeting specific requirements. The general entry requirements are as follows:

  • International equivalent of 260-300 UCAS points at A Level standard (NARIC)
  • Grade B in GCSE Maths or international equivalent

English entry requirements

IELTS 6.0 (no contributing band below 5.5) or equivalent.

Students wishing to join the courses at an overall IELTS (or equivalent SELT) 5.5 (no contributing band below 5.0) may be able to enrol on a pre-sessional English course

Fees & Funding

Tuition fees cover the cost of a student’s academic studies. This usually includes teaching costs, registration and examination fees (not repeat or tailing modules, re-sit fees or coursework resubmission). Any costs associated with work placements will be students responsibility.
