Our Business Enterprise programme has been developed in close partnership with industry experts to give the business knowledge and work experience that someone needs to advance in management positions in the enterprising service sector or set up an own business.

This programme offers the opportunity to develop the knowledge and understanding of core business functions and activities and to appreciate how they work together in contemporary global and digital business environment. An essential part of this programme is allowing the person to develop the business plan as an option for the final year research project, with our industry partners contributing to the business development process.

Progression Route

Once you complete the 1st and 2nd year you will achieve ATHE Level 4 and Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business and Management. 3rd year would be delivered and awarded by Leeds Trinity University and you will achieve a final degree BA (Hons) Business and Enterprise.

Entry Requirements

We accept candidates who have achieved a wide range of credentials, including any post-16 qualification in the UK.
Functional, Vocational and other essential skills are recognised and taken from all around the world. Please get in touch with us to discuss the specific requirements for your country.

  • 112 – New UCAS points
  • We would normally expect you to have Grade 4 / C in GCSE English and Maths.
  • Must include passes at A2 in at least two subjects.
  • Extended Diploma or Diploma
  • Diploma with 25 points including a minimum of 15 points at Higher Level.

  • Access to HE Diploma (QAA approved) with 60 credits overall and 45 credits at Level 3
  • Level 2 equivalences such as Level 2 Functional Skills in English / Maths, Level 2 Key Skills in Communication / Application of Number and Level 2 Adult Literacy / Adult Numeracy
  • Overall IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing and Speaking; minimum 5.5 in Reading and Listening (or recognised equivalent).

Fees

Tuition fees cover the cost of a student’s academic studies. It usually includes teaching costs, registration and examination fees (not repeat or tailing modules, re-sit fees or coursework resubmission). Any costs associated with work placements will be the students’ responsibility.

For employers operating in competitive and global labour, an enterprising mindset is often an essential graduate requirement; i.e. business awareness and the ability to be creative, innovative, problem solve, recognise opportunities and take action.  Enterprise education provides opportunities to develop experience, knowledge, characteristics, attributes and skills that enhance graduate employability.

Career Progression

There are a number of routes you can take after university – and everyone’s journey will be different. You could search for a graduate job, enrol on a postgraduate course or set up your own business.

Develop business relationships and make decisions that will affect the success of your organisation.

Retail managers are responsible for the day-to-day running of a store, with the aim of maximising profits, while minimising costs.

Sales executives help to drive a business forward by selling its products or services to customers.

Further Study

Some roles will require further study, whether it’s to gain membership to a professional body, further your knowledge in a specific area of business, or even branch out into a different field.

And while postgraduate study (e.g. a Master’s) and MBAs are a common choice, many business graduates will find that professional qualifications are a great way to stand out. Not only do they provide vital training and knowledge, but they’re also recognised by employers worldwide.
