International Foundation Programme (IFP) is a globally recognised programme and is an alternative to an A-Level or Access to Higher Education qualification.

IFP is a 1 year or 6 months (Fast Track) full-time programme that offers students an opportunity to gain entry into degrees at the London School of Business and other leading Universities in the United Kingdom.

By pursuing this programme, students will develop a strong understanding of their chosen subjects, providing them with practical knowledge of various research methods that are important in higher education.

Modules

Term 1- Campus Learning

In this module, we will be looking to build on your current knowledge of English and give you intensive sessions taught solely in English. We aim to prepare you for British education and reducing the level of culture shock you may experience when you first come to the UK.

We will go over basic maths techniques and refresh your memory of data and finance, and its uses that would apply to a Business environment.

Again we are ensuring that your IT skills are to a good standard and so you are prepared to use programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint to write essays, create spreadsheets and give presentations.

Term 2 – Online Learning

The key features of an organisation and its importance are explored, including finance, leadership, HR, marketing, managing data and customer service.

This unit is for understanding your academic strengths and weaknesses and developing research papers using a variety of skills.

It provides an introduction to marketing, followed by a look at research, analysis and promotional techniques

It shows how to use communication in business and how your communication skills you can develop to present information and ideas effectively.

Assessments

Students will be assessed by completing assignments and meeting assessment criteria for each of the modules. These assignments are meant to demonstrate your achievement of learning objectives. Units within this qualification are internally assessed via exams and tasks which are audited and verified by the awarding organisation.

The assignments submitted by learners must achieve the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by the assessment criteria for the unit. Learners can make pass, merit or distinction grade depending on the quality of assignment and questions attempted. To achieve a merit or distinction grade, the learners must demonstrate that they have met all the criteria set for these grades.

Fees & Funding

Tuition fees cover the cost of a student’s academic studies. It usually includes teaching costs, registration and examination fees (not repeat or tailing modules, re-sit fees or coursework resubmission). Any costs associated with work placements will be the students’ responsibility.

Scholarships

The level of competition for scholarships and educational awards is very high. We recommend that you apply for the course early if you plan to use for a related prize.

For some of our scholarships, you will need an offer to study the course to be eligible. Even where it is not a requirement, holding an offer to study can often benefit a funding application.

Scholarships are available for candidates under the Global Ambassador Scholarship scheme. The total value awarded will be determined by your academic and professional achievements.

In order to assess your eligibility for the programme, we will review your profile and your expectations from your career. This will be done via an in-person, telephonic or video conversation. In addition, we will mark your English proficiency for the course as well, and advise on further actions to be taken on your part.

Once your application and personal assessment interview are completed, you will receive an admission decision within two weeks. If you have any questions regarding the status of your application, feel free to contact your Admission Advisor.
