Programme Overview

The ATHE Level 6 Extended Diploma in Management is a 120-credit size qualification and is the equivalent size and level to the 3rd year of a Bachelor’s degree. This qualification is designed to develop your understanding of management and to develop key management skills. The aim of the qualification is to provide key aspects in the field of business and management; it also provides a fast track to higher education as students can directly join the first year of a Master degree.

  • One or two years’ study of Business, Management or related qualifications at a Higher Education Institution.

  • A level 5 qualification in Business, Management or related subjects for example an ATHE Level 5 Extended Diploma in Management.

  • An Access to Higher Education Certificate delivered by an approved further education institute and validated by an Access Validating Agency.

  • Other equivalent international qualifications.

  • A level or International Baccalaureate (IB)

  • A levels 5 qualification in Business or International equivalent qualification

  • For this course it is Academic IELTS of 6.0 overall, with no element below 5.5.

Assessments

Assessment is by completing assignments and meeting assessment criteria for each of the modules. These assignments are meant to demonstrate your achievement of learning objectives. All units within this qualification are internally assessed via exams and assignments which are externally verified by the awarding organisation.

The assignments submitted by learners must achieve the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by the assessment criteria for the unit. Learners can achieve pass, merit or distinction grade depending on quality of assignment and questions attempted. To achieve a merit or distinction grade, the learners must demonstrate that they have achieved all the criteria set for these grades.

Fees & Funding

Tuition fees cover the cost of a student’s academic studies. This usually includes teaching costs, registration and examination fees (not repeat or tailing modules, re-sit fees or coursework resubmission). Any costs associated with work placements will be the students responsibility.

In order to assess your eligibility for the programme, we will review your profile and your expectations from your career. This will be done via an in-person, telephonic or video conversation. In addition, we will mark your English proficiency for the course as well, and advise on further actions to be taken on your part.
