EU / UK Students
♦ Funding for EU / UK Students
If you are an EU or EEA student who is resident in the UK, you may be eligible to receive the same funding as a UK student. Undergraduate EU students can apply for a Tuition Fee Loan. You must apply to Student Finance England for this loan.
Tuition Fee Loan
If you are a full-time, undergraduate EU or UK student, you can apply for a tuition fee loan to cover the cost of your tuition fees. The tuition fee loan is paid directly to the institution. You can borrow up to the amount of your tuition fee for the year. If you do not apply for the Tuition Fee loan or decide not to apply for the full amount, then you will be required to pay the fees yourself.
How much is the Loan?
This will depend on whether you are a new or returning student for the 2014/15 academic year. If you are starting your course in/after September 2012, you will be able to borrow up to £9,250. You may be worried about the cost of joining LSB or our partner Universities, however there is financial support available. A government loan to cover your tuition fees is available to UK / EU students and you may be eligible for a bursary.
Tuition Fee Loan : (UK and EU students)
You don’t pay for tuition up front. The government will provide a loan to cover your full tuition charges. You or your parents don’t have to contribute anything now – you start to pay the borrowed amount back once you graduate, and are earning at least £21,000 per year. Eligible part-time students also have access to loans for tuition fees. They won’t have to pay upfront providing they are completing their first degree. To apply for a tuition fee loan please Contact Us or Student Finance England.
The application cycle for 2017/18 is open and we would encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Repaying your Loan Repayments will be 9% of any income above £21,000, so the amount you repay each month will depend on your earnings.
