Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management provides learners with the skills and understanding in human resource management (HRM) that align with good strategic decision making to maintain organisations’ competitive advantage.

Learners acquire knowledge through an integrated approach of theory in human resource management and practice using real-time activities. Successful completion of this qualification will develop learners’ strategic human resource management and leadership skills and their ability to focus on the requirements of implementing an organisation’s strategy.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management qualification enables learners to progress into or within employment and/or to work toward a relevant Master’s programme with advanced standing.

Learning Outcomes

New graduates are likely to begin their career in human resources by working in a general HR role. You may enjoy the breadth of this work and choose to remain in this environment, or you may prefer to move into a more specialist HR role in areas such as:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of key terms theories/ concepts and practices within the field of HRM.

  • Evaluate HRM related social, cultural, ethical and environmental responsibilities and issues in a global context.

Assessments

Learners are assessed through assignments, which have been created to demonstrate the students knowledge and understanding. All units within this qualification are internally assessed via exams and tasks which are externally verified by the awarding organisation.

The assignments submitted by learners must achieve the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by the assessment criteria for the unit. Learners can earn a pass, merit or distinction grade depending on the quality of assignment and questions attempted. To achieve a merit or distinction grade, the learners must demonstrate that, they have met all the criteria set for these grades.

Fees & Funding

Tuition fees cover the cost of a student’s academic studies. It usually includes teaching costs, registration and examination fees (not repeat or tailing modules, re-sit fees or coursework resubmission). Any costs associated with work placements will be the students’ responsibility.
