Postgraduate Certificate in Strategic Management is a 60 credit Ofqual Qualification. The diploma provides imperative knowledge and understanding of the National Occupational Standards in Management and Leadership. This Diploma is of a high standard which and is very well recognised by a variety of prestigious UK universities and others worldwide. If students aspirate, it allows for progression to an MBA Top-Up Degree from various universities.

The qualification is not focused on any specific industry or country. Instead, it outlines the skills and knowledge that meet the needs of managers in different sectors at a domestic or international level.

The qualification covers key areas of management such as Organisational Behaviour, Strategic Human Resource Management and Finance for Strategic Managers. It provides the option to undertake an MBA top-up at many universities in the United Kingdom or others worldwide. The qualification typically takes eight months of full-time study or 16 months of part-time study.

The majority of students opting for this programme are often International ones, giving you a unique chance to network with like-minded business people from diverse backgrounds. In this way, you can develop your cultural intelligence and build a strong network for your current or future company.

  • Progression to a more substantial qualification at the same level
    (e.g. from a Diploma to Extended Diploma(60-credits) + MBA Top-Up(60-credits))

Entry Requirements

We accept candidates who have achieved a wide range of credentials, including any post- 16 qualification in the UK. Functional, Vocational and other essential skills are recognised and accepted from all around the world. Please get in touch with us to discuss the specific requirements for your country.

  • We normally require a second class honours degree (2:2) or above

  • Applicants must demonstrate a minimum of two years continuous workplace experience gained in a managerial or professional job following graduation

  • Applicants without an honours degree need to demonstrate relevant workplace experience.

  • Other equivalent international qualifications.

English Requirments

  • The most commonly accepted evidence of English language ability is IELTS 6.5 (with minimum 6.0 in all components).

Extended Diploma and Strategic Management

Assessments

Assessment is by completing assignments and meeting assessment criteria for each of the modules. These assignments are meant to demonstrate your achievement of learning objectives. All units within this qualification are internally assessed via exams and tasks which are externally verified by the awarding organisation.

The assignments submitted by learners must achieve the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by the assessment criteria for the unit. Learners can make pass, merit or distinction grade depending on the quality of assignment and questions attempted. To achieve a merit or distinction grade, the learners must demonstrate that they have met all the criteria set for these grades.

Fees & Funding

Tuition fees cover the cost of a student’s academic studies. This usually includes teaching costs, registration and examination fees (not repeat or tailing modules, re-sit fees or coursework resubmission). Any costs associated with work placements will be the students responsibility.

The level of competition for scholarships and educational awards is very high. We recommend that you apply for the course early if you plan to use for a related prize.

For some of our scholarships, you will need an offer to study the course to be eligible. Even where it is not a requirement, holding an offer to study can often benefit a funding application.

In order to assess your eligibility for the programme, we will review your profile and your expectations from your career. This will be done via an in-person, telephonic or video conversation. In addition, we will mark your English proficiency for the course as well, and advise on further actions to be taken on your part.
