Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management is a 120-credit Ofqual regulated qualification. This qualification offers a flexible option for people who already achieved awards in the management field at a lower level, as well as qualified individuals in other areas. The programme is designed to allow an alternative qualification to be gained. Similarly, if an individual is not sure about committing to the 120-credit course, they can opt for the 60-credit course and still achieve a recognised qualification.

The qualification covers key areas of management such as Organisational Behaviour, Strategic Human Resource Management and Finance for Strategic Managers. It provides the option to undertake an MBA top-up at many universities in the United Kingdom or others worldwide. The qualification typically takes 12 months of full-time study or 24 months of part-time study.

The majority of learners opting for this programme are often International students, giving you a unique chance to network with like-minded business people from diverse backgrounds. In this way, you can develop your cultural intelligence and build a strong network for your current or future company.

Entry Requirements

We accept candidates who have achieved a wide range of credentials including any post- 16 qualification in the UK. Functional, Vocational and other key skills are recognised and accepted from all around the world. Please get in touch with us to discuss the specific requirements for your country.

  • We normally require a second class honours degree (2:2) or above

  • Applicants must demonstrate a minimum of two years continuous workplace experience gained in a managerial or professional job following graduation

  • Applicants without an honours degree need to demonstrate relevant workplace experience.

  • Other equivalent international qualifications.

English Requirments

  • The most commonly accepted evidence of English language ability is IELTS 6.5 (with minimum 6.0 in all components).

Assessments

Learners are assessed through assignments,which have been created to demonstrate the students’ knowledge and understanding. All units within this qualification are internally assessed via exams and tasks which are externally verified by the awarding organisation.

The assignments submitted by learners must achieve the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by the assessment criteria for the unit. Learners can earn a pass, merit or distinction grade depending on the quality of assignment and questions attempted. To achieve a merit or distinction grade, the learners must demonstrate that, they have met all the criteria set for these grades.

Fees & Funding

Tuition fees cover the cost of a student’s academic studies. This usually includes teaching costs, registration and examination fees (not repeat or tailing modules, re-sit fees or coursework resubmission). Any costs associated with work placements will be the students responsibility.

The level of competition for scholarships and educational awards is very high. We recommend that you apply for the course early if you plan to apply for a related award.

For some of our scholarships, you will need an offer to study the course to be eligible. Even where it is not a requirement, holding an offer to study can often benefit a funding application.

The Company Secretary is responsible for the efficient administration of a company, particularly with regard to ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and for ensuring that decisions of the board of directors are implemented.

Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the movement of goods, from manufacturers and suppliers to the customer. They oversee and manage every stage of the production flow, from purchasing the raw materials to the delivery of the final product.

A Business Development Manager is a senior role, and as such has some important duties and responsibilities to fulfil, with both short and long-term goals to achieve. For example, writing business proposals, negotiating with stakeholders, identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs.

A Data Analyst is someone who collects, processes, and performs statistical analyses of data. They can translate numbers and data into plain English in order to help organizations and companies understand how to make better business decisions.

Financial Managers provide guidance to help mitigate weaknesses and risks in an organisation’s financial situation. Responsibilities may include creating financial budgets and forecasts, researching competitors, and performing audits. These professionals must be skilled in computer use and research, strategic decision-making, and financial analysis.

Management Consultants help organisations to solve issues, create value, maximise growth, and improve business performance. They use their business skills to provide objective advice and expertise and help an organisation to develop any specialist skills that it may be lacking.

Purchasing Managers are responsible for buying the best quality equipment, goods, and services at the most competitive prices to enable a company or organisation to operate. You can work in a range of sectors for many different types of organisation.

In addition, we will mark your English proficiency for the course and advise on further actions to be taken on your part.
