Programme Overview
Business English is considered a detailed and an in depth course which allows you to develop the practical English skills you need for the business world. Many internationals study this subject with the objective to be successful in their employment in businesses. It allows you to become more linguistically professional so that you can adapt well. The course motivates you and boosts your confidence whilst giving you opportunities to focus on specific business skills such as: presentations and report writing. Business English teaches you the correct way in grammar, it emphasises topics which are used in business such as: finance and trade. It aids in improving your communication skills and focusses on your vocabulary so you can correspond and articulate to higher level.

Entry Requirements
Before starting, your level of English should be B1 at a minimum.

Assessments
Assessment is by completing assignments and meeting assessment criteria for each of the modules. These assignments are meant to demonstrate your achievement of learning objectives. All units within this qualification are internally assessed via exams and assignments which are externally verified by the awarding organisation.
The assignments submitted by learners must achieve the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by the assessment criteria for the unit. Students can achieve pass, merit or distinction grade depending on quality of assignment and questions attempted. To achieve a merit or distinction grade, the learners must demonstrate that they have achieved all the criteria set for these grades.
Fees
Tuition fees cover the cost of a student’s academic studies. This usually includes teaching costs, registration and examination fees (not repeat or tailing modules, re-sit fees or coursework resubmission). Any costs associated with work placements will be the students responsibility.

Class Timings
15 hours per week:
Session 1: 9:00 – 12:30
Session 2: 12:30 – 15:30
Session 3: 15:30 – 18:30
Your class may be in the morning or the afternoon depending on your level. You will be given your course timetable on your first day of classes.
Business English classes starts every 3 weeks on a Monday (except public holidays and over the LSB holiday periods) on the following days:
