Beauty Akter is currently a Ph.D. fellow at the University of Sussex, United Kingdom. Her research focuses on corporate entrepreneurship, specifically exploring topics such as corporate venturing, accelerators, incubators, and their impact on firm performance. She is deeply passionate about accelerating innovation and fostering the creation of new businesses. Prior to her Ph.D. studies, she served as a faculty member at the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the largest private university in her country for six years where she had the opportunity to share her knowledge and expertise with aspiring entrepreneurs. She taught business related courses over there and motivated the students to become an entrepreneur and a leader. Throughout her academic career, Beauty has refined her expertise in the field of entrepreneurship, gaining deep insights into start-up ventures, business development, and entrepreneurial ecosystems. Her commitment to fostering innovation and nurturing entrepreneurs is evident in her teaching approach, which combines theoretical foundations with practical application.

As a university teacher, Beauty has successfully guided and mentored countless students, helping them develop a solid understanding of entrepreneurial principles and strategies. Her engaging teaching style, coupled with real-world examples and case studies, inspires her students to think creatively, identify opportunities, and navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship. In addition to her academic pursuits, she has actively contributed to the entrepreneurial ecosystem as an advisor to several entrepreneurial organizations. This involvement has allowed her to engage with and support various start-ups and entrepreneurs in their journey towards success. Beauty has also actively contributed to the entrepreneurship community by organizing workshops, seminars, and events that encourage entrepreneurial thinking and skill development. For instance, over the past years, she has been actively engaged with several global entrepreneurship organizations. These include the Global Entrepreneurship Research Network (GERN), GEN (Global Entrepreneurship Network), Startup Grind (a renowned Silicon Valley-based Entrepreneurship Community), World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), and HULT Prize at DIU, among others.

By collaborating with these esteemed organizations, she has had the privilege of networking with fellow entrepreneurs, exchanging ideas, and contributing to the global entrepreneurial community. She believes in the power of networking and fosters meaningful connections between students, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals, creating valuable opportunities for collaboration and growth. Outside of her professional pursuits, Beauty enjoys travelling, meeting with new people, volunteering her time and expertise to support aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly women and young individuals. She is incredibly enthusiastic about her research, teaching, and advocacy work in entrepreneurship. It is her goal to drive innovation, support start-ups, and promote the spirit of entrepreneurship worldwide. She is excited to continue her journey and make a meaningful impact in the entrepreneurial landscape.
